New digital video camcorders were in use at Torrey Pines High School in Terry Sanchez’s Advanced Video class within an hour of delivery on the second week of school. The cameras were purchased by the Torrey Pines High School Foundation’s TP Education Fund from Sony. The cameras were hand-delivered to the campus by Torrey Pines parent and Sony employee Theresa Hill.
Torrey Pines’ students began using the cameras immediately to create a Back to School Night video that will be shown at the Torrey Pines Back to School Night Sept. 25. In addition to the Back to School Night video, the video, film and digital photography students have many creative ideas and projects which will now become a reality thanks to TPHS Foundation’s Education Fund.
