Del Mar Union School District to fill governing board vacancy
The Del Mar Union School District is seeking applications from residents to serve for a term ending December 2016. A candidate will be appointed to fill the balance of a four-year term, which would be up for election in November 2016.
The board vacancy has occurred due to board member Doug Perkins’ election to the San Diego County Board of Education. He began his service on the San Diego County Board of Education on Jan. 5, 2015.
By law, the board has until March 6, 2015 to make the appointment.
Interviews will be conducted at a special board meeting on March 4, at 5:45 p.m. at Del Mar Hills Academy. Those interested in being considered for appointment to this vacancy can download an application at www.dmusd.org or contact the superintendent’s office at 858-523-6198.
All applicants must be registered voters living within the boundaries of the Del Mar Union School District.
