November crime/arrest report for Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Solana Beach area

The numbers of crime cases by type, where type is defined by the most serious crime that occurred, and arrests/citations with valid addresses that were reported to the San Diego County’s Automated Regional Justice Information System by Dec. 3 for November 2014 in the San Diego city neighborhoods of Del Mar Heights, Carmel Valley, North City, and Torrey Highlands, and the cities of Del Mar and Solana Beach are shown below:

Del Mar Heights:

2 cases involving persons: 2 simple assaults

5 cases involving property: 2 financial crimes, 1 malicious mischief/vandalism, and 2 vehicle break-ins

1 case involving less serious crimes

16 Arrests/Citations: 2 assault, 1 drunk in public, 1 narcotics, 2 speeding, and 10 traffic other than DUI and speeding

Carmel Valley:

8 cases involving persons: 8 simple assaults

25 cases involving property: 1 commercial and 3 residential burglaries, 7 financial crimes, 3 malicious mischief/vandalism, 4 theft other than of or from vehicles, 4 vehicle break-ins, and 3 vehicle thefts

3 cases involving less serious crimes

102 Arrests/Citations: 1 assault, 2 curfew violation, 2 drunk in public, 1 DUI, 3 narcotics, 10 speeding, 74 traffic other than DUI and speeding, and 9 other

North City:

1 case involving persons: 1 aggravated assault

19 cases involving property: 5 commercial and 1 residential burglary, 4 financial crimes, 6 theft other than of or from vehicles, 2 vehicle break-ins, and 1 vehicle theft
