Baked Bear offers free scoops on Feb. 24

Baked Bear in the Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch will be hosting Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, Feb. 24, offering every customer a free scoop of ice cream or an upgrade to an ice cream sandwich for $2 from noon until the sun goes down at 6 p.m.

Torrey Pines High School graduates Shane Stanger and Robbie Robbins opened the first Baked Bear in Pacific Beach in 2013. The ice cream sandwich shop has since expanded to La Costa, Carmel Mountain, Temecula and even a location inside Petco Park.

In 2017, the Carmel Valley and La Costa Baked Bears were acquired by another Torrey Pines alumnus, Daniel Arabi.

"We love our customers and we are happy to have created an event to share that love,” said Stanger. “We were amazed by the turnout at this event last year and hope to see just as many people this year."
