Del Mar Mesa Planning Board seeks candidates for March election
The Del Mar Mesa Planning Board is holding elections for two-year terms on March 8 and will be accepting nominations at the February meeting.
The Del Mar Mesa Planning Board is an elected community group that serves in an advisory capacity to the City Planning Department, San Diego Planning Commission and the San Diego City Council providing official recommendations to the city on community goals and land development proposals. The board meets at 6:15 p.m., the second Thursday of the month at the Carmel Valley Library, 3919 Townsgate Drive and is normally dark in August and December.
Positions are available for any resident of Del Mar Mesa 18 years or older for residential seats. Nominees must have attended at least two meetings.
The next DMMPB meeting will be on Feb. 8. Those interested in the open positions should attend to find out more and/or to have your name added to the ballot.
Open positions for 2018-2020 include: Quadrant 1 (from Del Mar Mesa and Carmel Country to Carmel View South), Quadrant 2 (areas from Carmel view South, north to Three Canyons, east to The Preserve, and south to the Park), Quadrant 3, (Duck Pond to Alta Del Mar), Quadrant 4 (The Meadows) or open At-Large positions.
