Flower Hill's Shop for Kids benefits Rady Children's on Oct. 25

Connecting to its mission of charitable giving, Flower Hill Promenade is hosting a special event called Shop for Kids: A Rady Children’s Happening on Thursday, Oct. 25.

Spend the day shopping from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., where 10 percent of proceeds at participating merchants will benefit the Sam and Rose Stein Emergency Center at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego to care for critically ill and injured children.

Afterwards from 4 - 6 p.m., head to the West Courtyard for a wine and cheese reception awaits, curated by Venissimo Cheese and Wine Connection. For a variety of fall fashion inspiration, TRE Boutique will present a fashion show while music plays. A $20 ticket is required to attend the Wine & Cheese Reception, which can be purchased online here.

Participating merchants for the day include Cucina Enoteca, a San Diego favorite Italian destination, a pop-up shop from Clothe+Arrow, TRE Boutique, and Geppetto’s. Gepetto’s is also hosting the Ten Store Customer Challenge, donating 10 percent of all purchases made on Oct. 10 to Rady Children’s Hospital. Toy fanatics who visit each of the store's locations by Nov. 30 will be entered in a drawing to win one of 10 $200 Geppetto’s gift cards.

Participating tenants also include Annmarie D'Ercole Jewelry, Bon Jewels Girly Boutique, Capsyl Salon, Cyro Shield, Fairen Del, If I Was a Bird Yoga, Katherine Cosmetics, Pigtails & Crewcuts, Sweet Pe, Venissimo Cheese andThe Wine Connection.

As part of Flower Hill’s "Fall Fiesta”, seasonal interactive installations will be up in the center all autumn long including colorful fall florals, a Papel Picado Canopy along the center’s East Courtyard, watercolor paintings of talavera tile designs and piñatas along stairways.

Guests can even channel their inner artist and paint their own masterpiece with the interactive Frida Kahlo Mural or honor loved ones with Lock it with Love. Featuring larger-than-life heart sculptures, this installation allows visitors to attach a lock as an expression of their love.
