On March 14, students across the country participated in the National School Walkout, protesting gun violence and putting pressure on congress to approve gun control legislation following the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

In Carmel Valley, protesters showed support for the students by gathering at the corner of Del Mar Heights Road and El Camino Real. They held signs with the names of the 17 students who were killed at Stoneman Douglas, many wearing t-shirts that said “Never Again.”
