Starbucks is first Pacific Highlands Ranch Village shop to open
Pacific Highlands Ranch residents finally have their spot to get their tiramisu latte, Frappuccino and flat white fixes as Starbucks became the first Village business to open on March 19.
On opening day, friends enjoyed the sunshine and coffee on outside tables and lots of Canyon Crest Academy students walked over from their campus across the street.
“It’s really convenient,” said senior Nammi Baru. “With our free period, we can come whenever we want to.”
“There’s probably going to be a lot of traffic,” senior Lindsey Morrison predicted. “There isn’t really a coffee place nearby.”
The PHR location features the Clover brewing system, which crafts a single cup of “perfectly brewed coffee,” and it will also be the first Starbucks in San Diego to serve alcohol. Beer and wine service is expected to begin in the next few months.
Following in Panera’s footsteps are Trader Joe’s, which opened Friday, March 27, and Panera Bread, due to open on Monday, April 6.
Other recently announced tenants include a Pure Barre workout facility and Vitality Tap, a health and wellness bar that serves specialty juices and fresh and healthy fare.
