Wells Fargo Bank at Vons in Carmel Valley robbed

The Wells Fargo Bank at the Vons grocery store at Piazza Carmel was robbed Thursday, July 14 at about 1:12 p.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.

A male entered the Vons supermarket at 3850 Valley Center Drive and walked up to a teller at the Well Fargo Bank inside the Vons. The suspect demanded money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled out the front. The suspect was described as white male, 50 to 55 years old, 5’8”-6’0”, heavy build, who was wearing a red baseball cap, and a blue and white vertical striped shirt. The Robbery Unit is investigating, according to the the San Diego Police Department.
