La Jolla LearningWorks will hold its first annual back-to-school parent workshop at Coast Pediatrics in the Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 6:30 p.m. At the free workshop, La Jolla LearningWorks Founder Megan Trezza, M.Ed will give parents insightful strategies in supporting their K-6 children to find success and enjoyment of learning in the new school year.
The interactive workshop will cover topics including essential skills needed for success in elementary years, how to identify and address difficulties in key academic skill areas, tips for creating an effective homework routine and strategies for keeping your child feeling positive through the back-to-school season.
Coast Pediatrics is built upon a collective of six local pediatricians that have been serving the Carmel Valley and Del Mar communities for over a combined 40 years. Their commitment to remaining a small practice ensures a strong, personal connection with their patients as they grow throughout the years. According to Trezza, their relationship-focused approach to care aligns well with the educational philosophy of La Jolla LearningWorks.
“We want to connect with caring families throughout our community and help educate them with different strategies for relieving anxiety about going back to school for parents and students alike,” Trezza said.
