Fire damages bathroom at Lincoln High; students asked to leave classrooms

Classrooms at Lincoln High School were evacuated Thursday morning after a fire was discovered in a campus bathroom, officials said.

The fire was reported at the Imperial Avenue campus around 11:20 a.m., and students were directed to leave their classes during the incident.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which caused some damage to the bathroom, a school district spokeswoman said.

The fire was contained to the restroom, San Diego Fire-Rescue spokeswoman Mónica Muñoz said.

Arson investigators were called in to look into the cause of the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
