The lights are back on for most San Diego Gas & Electric customers who were affected by a power outage early Thursday afternoon.
About 1,900 people had been without power during an outage that hit neighborhoods near downtown San Diego at 12:19 p.m. By 2:30 p.m., power was still out for about 170 customers around Balboa Park and Golden Hill.
At its peak, the outage had also affected customers in Logan Heights, Mountain View and Lincoln Park.
San Diego Metropolitan Transit System tweeted at about 1:30 p.m. that the outage had knocked out ticket machines at MTS stations at 12th Street and Imperial Avenue and at 25th and Commercial streets. Riders were advised to purchase tickets through the MTS Compass Cloud app.
On Wednesday, about 1,600 SDG&E customers around Mission Valley lost power in the early afternoon.
