Authors discuss autism
Local authors Debra Ginsberg and Chantal Sicile-Kira, will be at the Barnes and Noble in Del Mar Highlands, 12835 El Camino Real, Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. for a book reading and signing event. Both authors have recently published books on the subject of raising sons with autism.
Ginsberg is the author of the critically acclaimed memoirs, “Waiting: The True Confessions of a Waitress,” “Raising Blaze: A Mother and Son’s Long, Strange Journey Into Autism,” and “About My Sisters” - as well as the novels “Blind Submission” and the recently published “The Grift.”
On Nov. 22, Ginsberg will be reading from her recently re-released “Raising Blaze,” which contains an epilogue and updates since the book was first published.
Sicile-Kira is the author of the award-winning books, “Autism Spectrum Disorders,” “Adolescents on the Autism Spectrum “ and “Autism Life Skills: From Communication and Safety to Self Esteem and More: 10 Essential Abilities Every Child Deserves and Needs to Learn.”
