Committee set for Jewels gala

The Arc of San Diego’s gala, The Jewels of San Diego, will feature dinner, entertainment and dancing to music by The Heroes beginning at 5:30 p.m. March 20 at the US Grant Hotel, 326 Broadway.

The Arc, founded in 1951, is the most comprehensive service provider for people with disabilities in San Diego County. The annual black-tie gala is The Arc’s largest fundraiser and it salutes San Diegans who have made a difference through their leadership and philanthropic contributions.

More than 500 guests are expected to attend. There will be silent and live auctions for unique items.

Chairs John and Phyllis Parrish have put together an honorary committee to support the event. Members include Honorary Chairs Pete and Gayle Wilson, and Jenny Craig, Jeanne Jones and Don Breitenberg, Jessie J. Knight, Jr. and Joye Blount, Pam Slater-Price and Herschel Price, Dean and Susie Spanos, and John and Sally B. Thornton.
