Aging is inevitable, but many of us don’t make plans for how we will transition into our golden years until we are faced with an aging parent or a crisis in our own lives. Planning ahead mentally, financially, and legally can make the age-related transitions in our own lives much smoother.
On Sunday, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m., Congregation Beth Am in Carmel Valley will host a free lecture given by Dr. Ken Druck. This program, titled “Honoring Our Parents, Honoring Ourselves... A Candid Conversation About Aging in the 21st Century” will feature experts who will discuss a variety of topics, including Estate Planning, Housing Options, Aging with Vitality, and Strategies for Having those Difficult Discussions with our Aging Loved Ones.
The headline speaker, Dr. Ken Druck, is a distinguished author, pioneer in psychology, and founder of the Jenna Druck Center, who will speak on “Summoning the Courage to Age While ‘Raising’ an Aging Parent.” Druck is one of the nation’s leading experts on resilience and overcoming life’s challenges. He is an engaging and inspiring speaker who works with CEOs, executive management teams, and boards of some of the world’s most successful companies. His latest book is titled “The Real Rules of Life: Balancing Life’s Terms with Your Own.”
