The numbers of crime cases by type, where type is defined by the most serious crime that occurred, and arrests/citations with valid addresses that were reported to the San Diego County’s Automated Regional Justice Information System (ARJIS) by Jan. 5, 2016 for the month of December 2015 in the San Diego City neighborhoods of Del Mar Heights, Carmel Valley, North City, and Torrey Highlands, and the Cities of Del Mar and Solana Beach are shown below:

Del Mar Heights

16 cases involving property: 1 residential burglary, 2 financial crimes, 4 malicious mischief/vandalism, 8 vehicle break-ins, and 1 vehicle theft

2 cases involving less serious crimes

23 arrests/citations: 1 DUI, 1 narcotics, 5 speeding, 15 traffic other than DUI and speeding, and 1 other

 Carmel Valley

5 cases involving persons: 1 aggravated and 3 simple assaults, and 1 sex other than rape

61 cases involving property: 8 residential burglaries, 9 financial crimes, 5 malicious mischief/vandalism, 16 thefts other than of or from vehicles, 22 vehicle break-ins, and 1 vehicle theft

2 cases involving less serious crimes

108 arrests/citations: 1 assault, 1 burglary, 2 DUI, 5 narcotics, 7 speeding, 90 traffic other than DUI and speeding, and 2 other

3 cases involving persons: 2 simple assaults and 1 sex other than rape

3 cases involving persons: 3 simple assaults

41 cases involving property: 1 commercial and 3 residential burglaries, 5 financial crimes, 5 malicious mischief/vandalism, 10 thefts other than of or from vehicles, 15 vehicle break-ins, and 2 vehicle thefts

21 cases involving less serious crimes

148 arrests/citations: 2 burglary, 1 drunk in public, 4 DUI,  5 narcotics, 21 speeding, 53 traffic other than DUI and speeding, and 62 other
