Carol McCusker, curator at the Museum of Photographic Arts (MoPA), has resigned to focus on teaching, curatorial and writing projects. She will remain at MoPA until mid-February and the museum will begin a nationwide search for her successor. McCusker curated more than 40 exhibitions during her eight-year tenure at MoPA.
MoPA is one of the few museums in the country devoted to photography, film and video. Since its founding in 1983, it has been dedicated to collecting, preserving and exhibiting the entire spectrum of the photographic medium. The museum’s endeavors consistently address cultural, historical and social issues through its exhibitions and public programs. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday in the Casa De Balboa building, Balboa Park. (619) 238-7559. mopa.org
