Cygnet celebrates theater renovation, grand opening
Cygnet Theatre Company celebrated the completion of the renovation of the Old Town Theatre with a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Dec. 6 (pictured). Joe and Linda Satz of the Mandell Weiss Charitable Trust, a major contributor to the project, cut the red ribbon and invited guests into the new theater to see the opening night production of “A Christmas Carol.”
Ruttkey Development Company put the finishing touches on the building on Dec. 5. The public was invited to attend an open house at the theater on Dec. 13 (not pictured).
Cygnet will alternate its productions between its Old Town location, at 4040 Twiggs St., and its Rolando space on El Cajon Boulevard near Montezuma Road.
“A Christmas Carol” runs at the Old Town Theatre through Dec. 28.
