Dead-end revamp complete

The dead-end of Village Center Loop Road has found its happy ending.

The Airoso Homeowner’s Association voiced their concerns about the street in late October and Pardee Homes found a solution last week, replacing an “unsightly” row of temporary blockades with a street-ender that matches those in other developing Pacific Highlands Ranch communities.

“It is a simple, but effective solution to the problem and it looks great,” HOA President Karen Dubey said.

Village Center Loop Road is expected to punch through to more Pacific Highlands Ranch homes in the future but currently dead-ends after the Airoso development entrance at Peppergrass Creek.

A band of temporary barricades chained to a fence served as the blockade for the past three years. Dubey said the barricades were broken, hit by cars, and the area was overgrown with weeds.

Now a white fence-like structure with red warning triangles affixed to it is in place. The weeds near the dead-end street also were removed.
