Del Mar Hills Academy celebrates creativity at Fiesta Del Mar fundraiser
The Del Mar Hills Academy of Arts and Sciences is hoping friends and neighbors will join them this Saturday night for the annual dinner and live art auction at En Fuego Cantina and Grill in Del Mar starting at 6 p.m.
The night will include beautifully crafted class art projects to themed baskets by grade to irresistible silent auction items such as dinners, getaways, community services and activities for young people.
All proceeds from the event benefit the PTA programs and enrichment curriculum.
“Given the budget complexities for the district, it is the most responsible of us to make fundraising efforts at an all time high. We also recognize that funds are tight for our families and believe that it is easier to give when we get a work of art that we will cherish for all time,” said Kerry Traylor, PTA President.
And for those who are not able to make the event, this year the committee also put into place a “Buy it Now” feature for select items as well as a raffle for an iPod Touch. Tickets are $2 for 1 ticket, $5 for 3, $10 for 7, and $20 for a whole arm’s length and can be purchased at the Del Mar Hills front office or through after school parent volunteers.
