Del Mar to offer free admission on Wednesdays
Fans of thoroughbred racing in just found another reason to come to Del Mar this summer: Free admission on Wednesdays.
After the success of a similar promotional stunt at Santa Anita and Hollywood Park, Del Mar will offer free admission, a free reserved seat, half-price drinks and half-price hot dogs on Wednesdays during the 2009 race season. They’re calling the promotion “Free & Easy Wednesday.” the park’s opening day, however, will not be included in the promotion.
Patrons hoping to take advantage of the deal will have to sign up for the track’s Diamond Card by filling out a form at the admission gate.
