Del Mar Village Specific Plan community workshop to be held April 30

A citywide Village Specific Plan workshop will be held on Monday, April 30, in the Council Chambers (6-8:30 p.m.). Participants will have the opportunity to discuss issues/opinions with community members and City Council members. A short presentation will be given on the plan’s elements. The workshop will have roundtable discussions about the various topics in the Specific Plan and then a report out to the group as a whole.

Written Comments on Draft documents:

Written comments on either the draft EIR or the Draft Village Specific Plan are due by the close of business on Friday, May 4. All comments must be received in writing during the 45 day review period (March 19 – May 4) for consideration. Please email your comments to: Planning@delmar.ca.us or send them to the attention of the Planning Department, City of Del Mar, 1050 Camino del Mar, Del Mar, CA 92014 no later than Friday, May 4.

Future Meetings:

The City Council, the Planning Commission and the Design Review Board will all be discussing the Draft Specific Plan at their regularly scheduled meetings in May, June and July. The City Council is slated to make a decision on the Village Specific Plan and EIR at their Aug. 6, 2012 hearing.
