Election News: San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders endorses Carmel Valley resident Steve Danon for County Supervisor

San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders recently announced his endorsement of Steve Danon for County Supervisor in the Third District.

“I’ve known Steve for years, and have had the pleasure of working alongside him on a number of important regional issues,” said Sanders. “I’m confident that Steve will continue to work with cities throughout San Diego County to strengthen our economy and reform local government. Steve’s experience in both the public and the private sectors has given him the tools necessary to be an effective County Supervisor. Steve has my enthusiastic support,” stated Sanders.

“Mayor Sanders has been a very strong and decisive leader for our region during a time of serious financial problems, and I’m humbled and honored to have his support. Over the past six years, the Mayor has made the City of San Diego a better-run city and a better place for its residents,” said Danon. “I particularly respect the work that the Mayor has done to help the City recover from years of financial mismanagement. The Mayor’s work should serve as a model for cities struggling with cumbersome financial burdens as a result of poor governance. I look forward to continuing to work with him on the challenges that our region faces,” concluded Danon.
