An emergency public meeting to address a recent string of attacks and sexual assaults in the areas of Carmel Valley, Mission Valley, UCSD, SDSU and Tierrasanta.

The incidents all follow a similar pattern. The suspect is described as a white or Latino male, 5-feet, 6-inches tall, 160 pounds and approximately 30 years old.

The perpetrator is targeting Asian women and the incidents occurred between June of 2008 and April 28, 2009.

Elected officials and law enforcement personnel are scheduled to attend the meeting, including San Diego Police Department Assistant Chief Boyd Long and members of the Sex Crimes Division.

The meeting takes place on Saturday, May 9 at 4 p.m. at the Linda Vista Recreation Center, 7064 Levant St., San Diego.
