Greek school offers camp
The North County Greek School has created a week-long cultural arts and language immersion day camp for boys and girls, ages 6 to 12. The camp will operate 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 21-25 at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 3459 Manchester Ave., Cardiff.
Day campers turned time travelers will go beyond the teachings of the traditional Greek language classroom to explore the world of Ancient Greece through hands-on experiences. Kids will learn Greek dance steps, geography and Greek mythology, and dabble in cooking — all while being immersed in the language.
