Hanukkah Bingo kicks off season
The San Diego Jewish Academy held their second annual Hanukkah Bingo night Dec. 14. To kick off the season, family and friends gathered for a competitive round of games.
Principal Daniel Sussman called out the numbers using a fancy new digital bingo system. Tables were set with plenty of gelt (chocolate coins) and treats, like donut holes and pretzels. Mexican hot chocolate was also served.
With the first day of Hanukkah fast approaching on Dec. 21, SDJA is ready - classroom windows were decorated with menorahs and dreidels, handmade by children. Since Dec. 1, students have also participated in a Hanukkah Toy Drive to support Rady’s Children’s Hospital.
