Hanukkah celebration date set
The Chabad Jewish Center of Rancho Santa Fe is hosting the third annual Communal Hanukkah Celebration Monday, Dec. 22, at the Fairbanks Ranch Community Clubhouse.
“The holidays are a time to get together and feel like a community,” Rabbi Levi Raskin said. “I always consider the Jewish community one large family.”
The celebration of light will feature a traditional buffet dinner, a grand menorah lighting and plenty of fun crafts for children.
The celebration began three years ago and as grown to more than 100 participants, including many families and those who may not have family in town.
The event begins at 6 p.m. and is co-hosted by Dr. Steve Mannis and Kan Handel. There is a $50 suggested donation per family. However, all are welcome.
