Home burglary thwarted in Lomas Santa Fe Estates

On Monday, Oct. 25, around 8 p.m. there was an attempted home robbery in the 1300 block of Via Mil Cumbres in Solana Beach. Nobody was home at the time, and though the security alarm sounded, nobody responded. Police later arrived to find that all the phone lines and electricity to the home had been cut and that the front door was severely damaged.

There was another home burglary on Via Mil Cumbres in August, though detective Jeffery Schmidt said police have no reason to believe the two incidents are linked at this time.
