House fire in Del Mar extinguished
A fire damaged a beachfront North County house today, authorities reported.
Nobody was home at the two-story Tudor-style residence in the 1800 block Ocean Front in Del Mar when emergency crews arrived to extinguish the blaze about 12:40 p.m., sheriff’s Lt. Anthony Ray said.
It took the crews about 45 minutes to fully extinguish the flames, which were confined to the attic of the house, according to a dispatcher.
Firefighters called sheriff’s arson personnel to the scene to investigate, Ray said.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
