Del Mar Shores lobster dinner

The early bird deadline for the San Diego Coastal Chamber of Commerce’s Sept. 13 Lobster and Wine Festival at the Del Mar Shores Park has been extended to Monday, Sept. 8.

Discounted tickets are $95 per person, $125 per person after Sept. 8. Tickets include lobster dinner, wine and music. Forty percent of ticket proceeds will benefit the Campaign for Del Mar Shores.

Tribute at Powerhouse

On Sept. 11, a symbolic memorial service will be held at Del Mar’s Powerhouse Park, honoring those who perished in the 9/11 attacks on New York’s Word Trade Center. The event is open to the public.

Flag planters are needed and are asked to arrive between 8 and 10 a.m. Powerhouse Park is at 1700 Coast Blvd, in Del Mar.
