As a guest of Scripps Health, entertainer, author and patient advocate Naomi Judd will share practical and innovative tools for recovering from illness and pain at 6 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Paradise Point Resort on Mission Bay in San Diego.
At the pinnacle of her career, Judd learned she contracted Hepatitis C from an infected needle when she worked as a registered nurse. Fighting the potentially fatal chronic liver disease, she cut short her musical career.
Now recovered, she is passionate about advocating for people with chronic conditions, including persistent pain. She knows that managing pain effectively can change lives.
A book signing will follow the seminar. Early bird registration is $15 until Jan. 15. Onsite registration is $20. To register, call Scripps Conference Services at (858) 652-5400 or send an e-mail to email@example.com
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) project at Camp Pendleton.
