Kid Korps alumni gather for barbecue
Fifteen years ago, the first Kids Korps founding members, several just 5 years old, arrived at Casa Palmera senior home to exercise with the residents. This summer, the founding members and alumni of Kids Korps USA, now in their 20s, gathered to share the value of their experience.
The young philanthropists, who helped build what is now a national organization, had fun catching up, but the gathering had another purpose: They met to discuss the impact Kids Korps had on their formative years, knowing their feedback will be used to promote optimum learning experiences so that the next generation goes further than their generation.
Alumni attending the summer barbecue included: Chris Benassi, Matt Bloch, Reisa Bloch, Arianna Bornhoft, Kristy Chapelow, Lindsey Geier, Ashley Geier, Angela Georgiades, Jordan Homan, Trisdan Homan, Hunter Smith, Skyler Stein, Christina Wafer, Jarred Wafer, Robbie Weir, and “PJ” Woolley.
In addition to the barbecue, participants discussed writing and shooting footage for the current YouTube video, which can be viewed by linking on the front page of
