Library open house is cause for celebration

The sounds of a Mardi Gras-style zydeco band filled the village on Feb. 27 as the Rancho Santa Fe Library held an open house and customer appreciation event.

Library patrons danced to the music, and branch manager Caryl Andrews took a turn strumming the washboard with the band. Inside, children celebrated the renovations to the children’s library with face painting, rocking out on “Guitar Hero” and making Mardi Gras masks.

Children also checked out books and played games on the new computers.
