Lilian project vote upcoming
The controversial Lilian project, a new housing and retail development planned for the village, will be voted on by the Rancho Santa Fe Association board at their Jan. 15 meeting. The project is on the agenda for 9:30 a.m.
The project’s design, approved in early December by the Art Jury, has been under discussion for more than a year and at one time planned for as many as 11 residences.
The final design features seven residences, 5,498 square feet of retail and an underground parking facility on the corner of El Tordo and Avenida de Acacias.
The space is currently home to one of the only parking lots in the Village, catering to merchants and the Wells Fargo and Union banks.
While construction will disrupt parking, when finished the project will include 82 parking spaces, which is 21 spaces more than what is required.
