Carmel Valley Manchester Soccer players Rachel Buckley, Bailey Buckley and Brandon Weinreb are holding a used sports equipment drive to benefit underpriveledged children from Monday, Aug. 24 through Friday, Aug. 27 at Ashley Falls School.

Simply bring bats, balls, shoes, gloves or clothing to the bins at the practice fields from 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The three 12-year-old Carmel Valley Middle School students are preparing for their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and decided to organize this drive for their community project.

Brandon began the donation drive by collecting items through his Del Mar Little League baseball team. The children are hoping both the soccer community as well as all of Carmel Valley participates.

The items will be donated to underprivileged children that cannot afford to play in competitive sports and in some cases, cannot even afford clothes to wear on a daily basis.

In addition to sporting goods and clothing, they will also accept any clothing items that you wish to donate.

If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Weinreb at lisaweinreb @gmail.com or (858) 692-1692.
