Mark Price will portray St. Joseph Sept. 17 at Solana Beach church

Share

A local man who has portrayed Biblical figures in churches, halls, theaters and on film around the world for a quarter-century will perform Saturday evening, Sept. 17 at Calvary Lutheran Church.

Mark Price will give dramatic readings from the life of St. Joseph — next to Mary, the one who knew Jesus the best. In the past his appearances have also focused on the lives of Judas, St. Luke and Simon Peter, among others.

Price is the final performance in a four-part season at Calvary that included studio and spiritual singers Jeff and Vangie Gunn in March, The Believers, a college choir from Sweden, in May, and Eve Selis and her Band of Ruffians in August.

Calvary has also announced that its annual Christmas concerts will be held Dec. 16 and 17 this year. Details will be announced soon.

Tickets for Price’s one-man performance are $20 general admission, $15 for ages 17 to 10, and free for children younger than 10. Free wine and cheese will be available starting at 6:30 p.m.

Calvary is at 424 Via de la Valle, just north of the San Diego County Fairgrounds.
