New women’s network focuses on health
The mission of the new women’s networking group, Ladies Leading Powerful Lifestyles, is to connect women dedicated to their health and to encourage women to create a holistic approach to their health.
Tanya Paluso, a holistic health counselor originally from San Diego, founded the group after hosting dozens of health workshops in New York City.
Paluso explained in a news release that her goal was to create an event that made women feel comfortable in their own skin, learn to find their optimal help and to meet to discuss women’s health issues and the health of the planet.
Ladies Leading Powerful Lifestyles holds monthly events, called Women 4 Wellness, at different locations across San Diego County. Women from across the county are encouraged to participate.
The next Women 4 Wellness will be held on April 19 at 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Soul Shine Wellness Network located at 1217 Camino Del Mar. The event costs $20 per person and features exotic teas and healthy hors d’oeuvres. Women are encouraged to dress up.
Cindy Silbert, author of “Chameleon Butterfly Dragon,” will be the main speaker of the event. She will discuss lessons from her book, including teaching women to access their feminine power and experience true self-expression.
Proceeds from the monthly events support Off The Mat Into the World, a nonprofit group founded by yoga instructors that raises money to bring sustainability and healing to Uganda for AIDS and war victims.
Another Women 4 Wellness event is scheduled for June 6 at Soul Scrape in Encinitas. The event will feature Sophie Uilano, author of “Gorgeously Green.” Uilano was featured on “Oprah” teaching women the importance of using non-toxic household cleaners and body products.
