Oct. 25 Solana Beach Halloween Carnival promises fun

This year’s Solana Beach Halloween Carnival, a 40-year “perennial favorite,” is in the works, promising carnival rides, giant slides, raffle prizes, recreational booths, a silent auction, food and refreshments, all to benefit Solana Beach schools.

The event is put on by the Solana Beach Foundation in alliance with Solana Vista and Skyline elementary schools. The Halloween Carnival offers family-friendly entertainment and helps raise funds for Solana Vista and Skyline programs, such as art, physical education, science and technology.

The event is put on by volunteers and support from local vendors and merchants. Co-chairs presiding over the event Michelle Moraga and Kelly Zimmer hope this year’s event will raise $45,000 for the school programs.

“Keeping high standards of excellence in our school district is especially challenging this year,” they wrote in a release.
