Pianist Dan Yu to perform at Carmel Valley Library

A special free family music program sponsored by the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library will be presented on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. in the library’s community room. It will feature pianist Dan Yu in a program of music by Mozart, Liszt, Schumann, and Chopin. The program will last 45 minutes.

Yu was born in China and immigrated to America with his parents in 1997. After high school he continued his piano studies at UCLA and received a BA degree in piano performance. He has won numerous piano competitions and scholarships, including the Musical Merit and La Jolla Young Artist Competition. He teaches piano in San Diego.
