Power restored in Del Mar, Solana Beach and Carmel Valley

With the large regional power outage affecting San Diego County and portions of Orange and Imperial Counties, the City of Del Mar joined with the Cities of Encinitas and Solana Beach to activate a joint Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

The center functioned from the early evening hours on Thursday, Sept. 8, until approximately 4:30 a.m. Initial reports in the EOC were that the power outage could last from 24 to 48 hours. San Diego Gas and Electric restored power in Del Mar, Solana Beach and Carmel Valley around 2:30 a.m.
