Report safety concerns by smartphone through 311

Bothered by a pesky pothole? 311, a new mobile civic platform for citizens initiated by District 5 Councilmember Carl DeMaio’s office, can now be downloaded on Smartphones to report public safety concerns, quality of life, and environmental issues, including broken sidewalks, overgrown trees and streetlights out. De Maio’s spokesperson, Ashley Simmons told the board, “[Before] there was no tangible way to see pictures of a problem. Just download the application, make a report, and click to send.”
