Residential waste/recycling service delayed by one day for week following Labor Day

The residential curbside trash and recycling pick-up schedule for Waste Management of North County and Coast Waste Management will be delayed by one day in the days after Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Residential customers in the following cities should place their bins out for pick-up one day later than usual, beginning Sept. 8 through Sept. 12:

  • Carlsbad
  • Del Mar
  • Oceanside
  • Rancho Santa Fe
  • Solana Beach
  • Valley Center

“Residential customers who usually receive service on Monday will instead receive it Tuesday, and so on throughout the remainder of the week, with Friday’s customers receiving service on Saturday,” said District Manager Ken Ryan. “We appreciate our customers’ cooperation with the holiday schedule so that our employees can observe Labor Day.”
Business commercial trash and recycling services in Carlsbad, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach and Valley Center will not be affected by the holiday – these services will remain on the regular Monday through Saturday schedule for the same week. Business commercial trash and recycling services in Oceanside will be delayed by one day.

The local Waste Management office, buyback center and the customer service center will be closed on Sept. 7, with normal operations resuming on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Customer service is available at 1(800) DUMPSTER Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
