Rockola rocks foundation’s Summer Twilight Concert

The second in a series of live music concerts had the crowd dancing to the beat on July 20 at Del Mar’s Powerhouse Park.San Diego-based Rockola, winner of eight San Diego Music awards, performed as thousands of local rock fans and their families and friends gathered early to find a spot to spread out their picnic blankets and chairs. By the end of the evening concertgoers had filled the park to capacity and were on their feet cheering for more.
The Del Mar Foundation hosts the popular Summer Twilight Concerts each year with the support of local underwriters such as Del Mar restaurants Poseidon On the Beach and En Fuego Cantina and Grill; L’Auberge Del Mar; the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club; and the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors at the recommendation of Supervisor Pam Slater-Price.
The final concerts of the summer are set for 7 p.m. on Aug. 17, featuring The U.K. Beat, and at 5 p.m. Sept. 12 with Atomic Groove.
