SANDAG continues to investigate cause of pipe accident

At about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 7, an incident involving an onshore pipe occurred at the SANDAG Regional Beach Sand project worksite in Solana Beach. No one was hurt and a full investigation has been launched to find out the cause of the accident. Until the matter has been resolved, the project has been suspended.

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is the San Diego region’s primary public planning, transportation, and research agency, providing the public forum for regional policy decisions about growth, transportation planning and construction, environmental management, housing, open space, energy, public safety, and binational topics.
