Saunders receives Eagle scholarship

Sydney Saunders, a Carlsbad resident, has been awarded the Eagle Scholarship by Santa Fe Christian Schools. Sydney’s academic achievements, student leadership and personal faith combine well with her heart for serving others to embody SFC’s mission to prepare Christian leaders.

In addition to participating in various volunteer programs, she maintains a 4.0 GPA, is a member of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth and plays violin in the school orchestra.

The Eagle Scholarship covers full tuition and is awarded annually to an incoming high school freshman. In addition to tuition, the scholarship provides funding for books, uniforms, athletic fees, and field trips.
