Seuss characters on stage in San Diego Junior Theatre production
San Diego Junior Theatre will present the musical “Seussical,” starring Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz and all the Whos in Whoville in this adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ stories, April 30-May 16 at the Casa del Prado Theatre in Balboa Park.
Performances are at 7 p.m. Fridays, and at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. There will be an ASL-interpreted performance at 2 p.m. May 15.
Emmy-winner and Junior Theatre alum Jay Heiserman is the set designer for “Seussical.” Heiserman has won two Emmys for his work on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” for Outstanding Art Direction/Set Design/Set Decoration. The production is directed by Junior Theatre Artistic Director Desha Crownover.
