Snap up a seat at turtle festival
The San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society will entertain visitors with the antics of the California desert tortoises (an endangered state reptile) and many other species of turtles and tortoises during its annual show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 17 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 18 in Casa del Prado, Room 101, in Balboa Park.
On July 17 only, SeaWorld will display its sea turtle hatchlings. Admission to the show is free. Plants, baked goods, T-shirts and turtle-related items will be for sale. Proceeds will benefit turtles and tortoises.
