Solana Beach art gallery to hold special fundraiser April 14
When the fires swept through Julian in 2003, almost everything was destroyed on Hubbell Hill.
A sculpture of Saint Gabriel was one of the few things left standing in the rubble, but its hands had been burnt off. One visitor to the site said he felt it was the community’s opportunity to lend a hand to support and protect this incredible treasure. Now is your opportunity.
Please join the Ilan Lael Foundation for a special event on Saturday, April 14, from 5 p.m. -9 p.m. at David Allen Collection (241 Cedros Avenue, Solana Beach) to raise awareness and funds for the Ilan Lael Center for Art, Environment and Humanity. Guests will enjoy small bites, wine, art, and music by the dynamic blues duo Billy Watson and Robin Henkel. A silent and live auction will take place for trips, experiences, and “fabulous Hubbell art.”
Tickets are $75 per person or $140 per couple and can be purchased at the door or in advance at www.profoundlyjameshubbell.eventbrite.com. You can preview the live auction items at www.ilanlaelfoundation.org/profoundly.

The event sponsors include David Alan Collection, Rancho La Puerta Spa, The Lodge At Torrey Pines, San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, Stone Brewing Company, Hubbell and Hubbell Architects, and Orchard Hill Inn.
