Solana Beach Supercuts robbed
By City News Service
Sheriff’s authorities Wednesday were searching for a man who robbed a Supercuts hair salon in Solana Beach with what appeared to be a large handgun under his shirt.
The man entered the salon at 661 Lomas Santa De Drive shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday and told two employees on duty that he wanted money, according to San Diego County sheriff’s Sgt. Thomas Yancey.
The employees complied and were ordered to the back of the store, Yancey said.
Authorities described the thief as a thin black man in his 20s. He wore a red bandana over his face and a black pullover sweatshirt with a white logo on the front and a red, white and black logo on the back, Yancey said, adding that the logos appeared homemade.
