Spyglass CEO buys $17.3M house

The celebrity who paid $17.3 million for a Lower Hermosa home is Gary Barber, a South African native who is CEO of Spyglass Entertainment. The company’s credits include ’27 Dresses,’ ‘Bruce Almighty’ and ‘Memoirs of a Geisha.’ The company also produced ‘Seabiscuit,’ a reflection of his interests in horse racing. He has owned racehorses for more than 12 years, according to the Breeders’ Cup Web site.
